Biography
Kristie DeLuca was born in Buffalo, New York and raised in a large, musical family. Her father a pastor and musician,
introduced Kristie to music at a young and impressionable age. By six years old she picked up a violin and flute, and
was determined to play. Did she ever. She was a natural. Soon thereafter, she began to excel on piano and eventually,
she would lead her father's church band and exceed in music throughout her school years.
At sixteen, Kristie was backing up local artists at various Buffalo clubs, lending her unique rock violin & flute
accompaniments to their music. A year later, Kristie picked up an acoustic guitar and was determined, not only to play
the instrument, but to make it her own. Also, around this time, she discovered a powerful singing voice that was dying
to get out. It did get out, and with a vengeance. The musicians she surrounded herself with were blown awayaway by her
sultry & powerful vocal style. Everything began to click; her musicianship excelled, her vocals were unique and fresh,
and her songwriting flowed endlessly. A true artist and performer was born.
Kristie moved south to Florida, making music into a life was not only a dream, but soon became a reality. She played
the clubs and bars of Orlando and as time went on she became the most requested local 'LIVE' performer in Central Florida,
as well as getting her songs featured on WMMO 98.9FM. Music would be her only focus.
As word of this beautiful, infectious female performer and her band began to spread around Orlando, playing live became
Kristie's full time job. Constant club dates, radio sponsored shows, festivals, Hard Rock Live, House of Blues,
TV appearances, and opening gigs for the likes of Edwin McCain, Nickleback, Sugar Ray, Journey and Cyndi Lauper became
the norm. She was being recognized and admired by fellow musicians, radio personalities, and music lovers throughout
Central Florida. Her original rock/folk music and intense performances were a hit. And a diehard following was built.
Kristie, who now lives in Los Angeles, brought with her an arsenal of over 200
original songs & soon was signed to a three year booking contract with United
Talent Agency (UTA) of Beverly Hills. She also recently signed on with Victoria
Blake Management (Tyler Hilton, Tool, Courtney Love), a powerhouse manager
in her own right. While in California she has showcased her songs and live performance
grooves at Los Angeles' the Viper Room, the Knitting Factory, Hotel Café, King
King and the Mint to raucous crowds and standing ovations. L.A. has gotten their
first taste, now it's time for the world!
Anyone who has ever witnessed Kristie DeLuca perform, played any one of her CD's, or been involved with her career doesn't
doubt that.
