Tito Puente Live at the Irvine Bowl
Catch Tito Puente in his best days between recording contracts in 1981,
as close to the folks as he ever was. A 74 minute percussion fiesta of
nearly forgotten live video captured at the Irvine Bowl during the 1981
Laguna Jazz Festival.
Opening with two pieces of Alex Acuña, drums, Justo Almario, sax, Eric Tillman, piano, Larry Klein, bass and Efrain Toro, percussion; followed by the 45 minute long main event featuring Tito Puente, timbales, Patato Valdez, congas, Mario Rivera, flute, Johnny Rodriguez, bongos, Alfredito Rodriguez, piano and Bobby Rodriquez, bass; signed off by Miguel Cruz and his Latin Jazz Ensemble.
